Management Recruiters International 的首席新闻主任霍斯(Neil Fox)说：你的电邮地址，就像你的'履历一样，是你发给未来老板的一个讯息。如果你以为没有人会留意你的电邮地址，觉得它只是一串字母，你就错了。
霍斯说，求职者最通常会犯的错误，是用一个怪名或幽默的名字，作为电邮地址的一部分，如果你只用这地址来与朋友在网上交谈，当然无所谓，但如你用来发送求职信，即使一个昵称的名字都会出问题，个人简历《用电邮发求职信要小心选择电邮地址》。
